The Friends of the Jane and Terry Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA and the Stewart and Lynda Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA Board of Advisors hosted the second #WOW the Wonder of Women Summit on Thursday, April 11, 2019 in support of mental health research, education, and clinical care programs at UCLA. Lisa Kudrow served as emcee, and Sara Bareilles opened the Summit performing two of her songs. Maria Shriver announced the Women's Alzheimer's Movement Research Initiative at UCLA, and other speakers included Julianne Hough, Katelyn Ohashi, Valerie Kondos Field, and Poppy Jamie. #WOW brings cultural leaders together with physicians and scientists for a day centered on women’s whole health and wellness, celebrating women for their talents, resiliency and determination. Nearly 500 guests gathered to learn evidence-based practices and hear personal stories about reducing stress, anxiety, and mental illness, in hopes of helping each other and those around them.
