4.L’antica Pizzeria Da Michele
Soak in the ambiance at welcoming owner Francesco Zimone’s gorgeous “cortile,” or courtyard, located right in the center of Hollywood. Besides the handmade Neapolitan pizza— the restaurant’s original Naples location, as seen in Eat, Pray, Love, opened in 1930 and hasn’t moved since—standouts include the pillowy gnocco fritto (fried pizza dough stuffed with burrata, prosciutto and arugula) and any of the fresh pasta dishes. The recently opened alfresco concept The Garden at Manuela stands apart from the restaurant’s existing outdoor space with a new cocktail bar and seating for 33 guests. The new menu features items such as chili de arbol chicken with white barbecue sauce and bread-andbutter pickles; garlic shrimp with pencil cob grits; and more. DTLA, manuela-la.com
6.République
This restaurant’s airy courtyard feels like it’s set right outside the République metro station in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris. On any given day, diners can expect a bevy of freshly baked French pastries and inventive egg dishes for brunch, along with dinner delights including Atlantic sea scallops and duck a l’orange. 7.The Rose Venice
The popular West Side eatery has made the best out of the pandemic by transforming its parking lot into an additional outdoor dining space. A Venice hot spot since 1979, The Rose Venice serves an all-day menu of inventive market-driven dishes such as sugar snap pea salad with whipped ricotta, soppressata, blood oranges, hazelnuts, petite greens and radish; and the Tokyo-style pizza with charred bigeye tuna, miso-yam puree, wasabi, ginger oil and scallion.
