With L.A.’s restaurants temporarily closed for regular service, Angelenos are starving for top-notch, professionally prepared food. Here are eight of our favorites that are offering delivery or pick-up.
1. Crossroads Kitchen
Now available through Doordash, Grubhub and Postmates, chef Tal Ronnen’s vegan restaurant has also launched home meal kits, which contain ingredients to make several of the eatery’s signature dishes such as chickpea marsala and meatballs in marinara sauce. West Hollywood, crossroadskitchen.com
2. Gwen Butcher Shop & Restaurant
Curtis Stone’s dining establishment has introduced home delivery through Caviar. The restaurant and butcher shop is offering Creekstone hanger steak, ground beef and housemade charcuterie, along with marketplace items like soups, pasta, fresh produce and more. Hollywood, gwenla.com
3. Carbon Beach Club
Malibu Beach Inn’s restaurant, which specializes in seasonal California cuisine, is now offering a curbside menu. Crispy California calamari, Baja shrimp cocktail and Creekstone steak frites are among the dishes available for pick-up daily. Malibu, 310.651.7777
4. The Nice Guy
With comforting and classic Italian fare, a meal from The Nice Guy is just what the doctor ordered. Dishes including cacao e pepe, shrimp scampi and more are available for free pickup or delivery via Postmastes. West Hollywood, theniceguyla.com
5. auburn
Now available for curbside pick-up, chef Eric Bost’s eatery will announce its menu each Monday via Instagram. Here’s a sampling: sweet rolls with Normandy butter; heirloom grains, wild arugula, radishes, turnips and preserved Meyer lemon; Koji aged Sonoma duck with a relish of blood orange, pink celery and pickled marigolds; and rhubarb crostata with clotted cream. 6. Nick & Stef’s
Bring the steakhouse vibe home with delivery or pick-up from the acclaimed restaurant, which has starters, salads, entrees, sides and desserts large enough to serve four to six people. For a perfect meal, we recommend the baby kale salad, mesquite-grilled hanger steak, charred Brussels sprouts, and mascarpone cheesecake for dessert. DTLA, 213.680.0330
7. L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele
With free pickup and delivery via Postmastes, DoorDash, GrubHub and UberEats, it has never been easier to indulge in a meal from the world-renowned Neapolitan pizzeria. The full menu, as well as pasta and pizza kits, are available. Hollywood, damicheleusa.com
8. Broken Spanish
Chef Ray Garcia’s sophisticated Mexican dishes are now available for delivery via Postmates for the first time. The entire menu, from tostadas with roasted beets to whole red snapper with capers, olives, celery, Chile piquin and avocado, can be ordered on Instagram or by email. DTLA, brokenspanish.com
