Also new—54 completely refurbished rooms on the fifth floor, with suites to come shortly after. maybournebeverlyhills.com
SHOP TALK
Sleek and streamlined, the new Onitsuka Tiger boutique in Beverly Hills echoes its stylish sneakers that honor Japanese heritage with a modern flair. The shop marks the brand’s third brick-and-mortar following openings in New York, and will carry apparel, kids items and, of course, sneakers. Look out for exclusive items to mark the occasion. onitsukatiger.com

UPPER CRUST
The pandemic has forced many business owners to shift gears, including chef Curtis Stone, who runs Gwen and Maude. Now offering both sweet and savory options, the Aussie chef has transformed the latter into a pie lovers haven. Chicken, leek and thyme pie; the Gwen sausage roll; and Banoffee cream pie (brown butter graham, toffee, malt whipped cream) are just some of the mouthwatering menu items. @thepieroombygwen

BODY LANGUAGE
This May, Beverly Hills welcomed a stunning new public art piece to the city. Dubbed “Love Anatomy,” the 9-foot-tall bronze sculpture by artist Alexandra Nechita joins three other pieces in the area. “‘Love Anatomy,’ for me, represents this eternal question and quest for the answers,” says Nechita, whose work resides in the private collections of Oprah Winfrey, Calvin Klein and more. “I made this sculpture in pursuit of understanding the structure and internal workings of love.” alexandranechita.com
