As the founder of LEKFIT, a muscle-sculpting workout method with a celeb following (Busy Philipps is a devotee), the fitness entrepreneur has long hosted and streamed private and group classes from her home studio. Now, she’s at a major tipping point: Her studio is moving from her home to a new flagship location on South La Brea, opening later this year.
Trampolines are central to LEKFIT workouts. What makes them such a great fitness tool? The rebounder is famous for activating the lymphatic system, which helps rid the body of toxins. And it’s zero-impact, so anyone at any age is able to use it.
What role does music play in the LEKFIT experience? Each class, both in-studio and online, features a meticulously curated playlist. It was important for me to translate the dance studio vibes I cherished when I was a professional dancer. Our playlists are designed to inspire and motivate with an ultimate, full-out, let-it-go, leave-it-on-the-floor conclusion.
What’s your morning ritual? A good sweat.
What fuels you each day? Nourishment, self-care, my kids, the ladies of LEKFIT and music.
What does wellness mean to you? Listening to your body and taking the time to do the things that make you feel good.
