A+D Celebrate Gala

| August 3, 2015 | Parties

Celebrate, the A+D Architecture and Design Museum>Los Angeles’ annual gala, doubled as the museum’s grand re-opening in its new home -- a warehouse-turned-museum in the burgeoning Downtown Arts District. The theme of the gala, Shelter, was one of particular significance to A+D Museum. With the concept of Shelter, the museum sought to express the belief that a well-designed habitat creatively and functionally expresses its relationship to site, neighbor, and occupant.
The centerpiece of the evening was a silent auction featuring custom “shelters” designed by architecture and design luminaries, which were exhibited in the gallery. Guests were treated to hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, music, and a chance to mingle with the best and brightest in the fields of architecture and design. Celebrate: Shelter offered guests a chance to bid on custom works of art and other shelter-themed items to grace and invigorate their own homes, while joining A+D Museum in the christening of their new space.
