A+D Modern Homes: A Salon Series #1

| April 2, 2014 | Parties

On Monday, March 31st, the Architecture and Design Museum kicked off the first of its Modern Homes: A Salon Series, co-hosted by Angeleno Magazine and sponsored by The Agency, at a stunning Mulholland Drive home. Owner, Hyon Chough, welcomed guests with open arms for this intimate gathering of local Angelenos and architecture enthusiasts eager to catch a glimpse at this world-renowned contemporary home designed by DesignArc. Guests were free to tour the home at their leisure, enjoying tasty small bites served by Petrossian as they stood in awe of the home's beauty. As guests ventured to the living room and bar area downstairs, they were greeted with the options of fabulous Porter & Plot wines, chilled Peroni beer, or refreshing VeeV cocktails. Outside, Argentinean band, Los Pinguos, filled the night with sweet sounds, performing by the infinity pool that overlooks the Stone Canyon Reservoir. As if the night couldn't get any better, guests were treated to a fireside chat with Hyon Chough and architects Dion McCarthy, Mark Kirkhart, and Andy Alper, each of whom spoke about the journey of how this incredible home came to be. Three more contemporary homes remain in the A+D Salon Series, so be sure to check them out!
