There’s a new French restaurant in town, and it wants to welcome you with wide-open arms.
Called Amour, the new dining destination opens on Dec. 22 and takes over the space of what was once Dominick’s on Beverly Boulevard.

“Amour - a blend of LA & Paris, uniting love & passion in an elevated French brasserie,” it describes itself in an Instagram post. “Our story started with a serendipitous discovery, growing into a culinary escapade. With dedication, we reinvented and deepened our commitment to our vision. Amour is more than a restaurant; it’s a tribute to life’s pleasures, where each detail is a gesture of love.”
Developed by hospitality entrepreneur Thomas Fuks and designed by his wife Abbie, Amour aims to bring elevated, yet relaxed dining to one of L.A.'s most popular neighborhoods. The jewel box interior blends old-world charm with striking and unique design elements. These include wood flooring sourced from 19th-century France, bespoke tapestry chairs and an extensive library of rare books.
In the kitchen, chef Dani Chavez-Bello's menus strive to make French dining less intimidating without sacrificing technique or flavor. Diners can opt for tasting menus showcasing lighter dishes or order a la carte from an eclectic selection. There are even vegan options available. With his background at pioneering restaurants like El Bulli and Bouley at Home, Bello is sure to impress.

Meanwhile, the beverage program by general manager and wine director Thibaud Duccini focuses on French and Californian varietals.
Blending casual elegance, approachable menus, and transportive old-world design, Amour brings a fresh perspective to L.A. dining. It opens with dinner service and future plans to add brunch and extended hours.
