Known for her effortlessly chic coolgirl aesthetic, tastemaker Anine Bing (aninebing.com) is celebrating an impressive milestone: 10 years in business. And while an evolving retail landscape has steered many brands toward an online-shopping-only model, Bing is taking a different approach. A gorgeous new flagship on Melrose Avenue is just the start for the brand, which has plans to open stores in a slew of new markets this year. “The Melrose assortment is definitely curated for our L.A. consumer,” shares Bing, who recently moved to Montecito with her family. “Customers can expect to see our newest arrivals from our spring and summer collections, as well as an assortment of our Classics collection. They can also expect more events in-store, including personal shopping appointments and exclusive gifts with purchases.” Although a decade has passed since launch, Bing is just as excited about her business as she was at the beginning. “The best part about my job is creating everyday essentials and investment pieces for modern women around the world. There is nothing I love more than spending my days in the design studio perfecting each piece and being there to see each collection come to life,” she says. “But what continues to strike me the most is seeing women around the world wearing Anine Bing.
