The tried-and-true fitness boot camp is moving to an all-new location in the same zip code.

Fitness enthusiasts for over 25 years have entrusted the original Barry’s in West Hollywood to streamline a great workout that produces even better results. This location, in particular, draws in a large crowd of Angelenos looking for a 50-60 minute fix with running, lifting and kicking up that heart rate.
Recently, the community-praised studio moved across the way from the original La Cienega storefront (1106 N La Cienega Blvd.) to a freshly revamped cornerside studio—with even more space—on Santa Monica Blvd (8383 Santa Monica Blvd.). The studio held its invite-only class and grand opening celebration this past Thursday, March 7.
It only takes one walk into the crisp, white waiting room to immediately notice the state-of-the-art amenities the gym has to offer. After checking in, guests are treated to a free locker for their belongings and all-access use of the locker rooms—equipped with showers, Dyson hair dryers and Ouai products.
The workout, which follows the same format as the Barry’s franchise worldwide, takes place in the dimly lit “Red Room” and utilizes parallel-laid Woodway treadmills that are numbered to match a Barry’s branded bench on the floor. However, the new West Hollywood location will also feature a RIDE x LIFT class that replaces the treadmills with stationary bikes.
For those new to Barry’s, numbers are assigned upon arrival, and boot campers begin on either the treadmill for a sprint, jog or incline walk or on the floor with a weight or bodyweight-based sequence. After an allotted amount of time, usually around 6-8 minutes, everyone switches for a total of 25-30 minutes on the floor and another 25-30 on the treadmill. It’s the ultimate HIIT body workout.

During opening day, the class was a traditional RUN x LIFT format hosted by Barry’s global CEO Joey Gonzalez, with a particular focus on the backside and abs. The group was enthusiastic, baring smiles through the grit, while Gonzalez cycled through pop remixes and shouted instructions—and encouragements; truly a heart-pumping and heart-warming hour!
Classes at the West Hollywood location are now available for booking. The studio will host classes daily, with each day of the week working a different muscle group for those looking to make Barry’s a part of their weekly fitness routine.
After class, guests are invited to visit the Fuel Bar for rehydrating smoothies, juices and energy drinks or shop Barry’s apparel to rep to the brand, both inside and outside of class. During West Hollywood’s opening day, guests were lucky enough to try the “Barrys & Brunch,” a vanilla whey protein smoothie with a hearty blend of blueberry and almond butter.

Longtime L.A. residents will be pleased to know that parking is offered for one hour free in the neighboring parking structure—which has plenty of spaces to spare—and leads you right to the front of the new studio storefront in the heart of West Hollywood.
Whether you’re a “Red Room” fanatic or a HIIT workout novice, the new West Hollywood location is a must-visit, carrying on the fitness tradition in a sparkling, new space.
