A Better LA’s 10th annual benefit, “An Evening with a View,” featuring President Vicente Fox, Founder Pete Carroll and Sharon Stone was held on May 2, 2013 at the beautiful AT&T Center in Downtown Los Angeles. This year’s food and wine event featured some of LA’s most iconic chefs and their restaurants. The benefit celebrated A Better LA’s community development efforts to help past gang members become a positive force in the community. Los Angeles philanthropist and University of Southern California's famed Trojan Football team's beloved former coach, and co-founder of A Better LA, Pete Carroll was honored.
Patina Restaurant Group was a proud partner to the event, whose culinary efforts were spearheaded by Chef and Founder, Joachim Splichal, who extended the invitation to an array of like-minded chefs, who are also driven to support the growth of Downtown Los Angeles. The participating chefs included Celestino and Giacomino Drago (Drago Centro, Il Pastaio), Josiah Citrin (Melisse), Megan Logan (Nick + Stef’s Steakhouse), Monica May (The Nickel Diner), Walter Manzke (Republique), Yoji Tajima (Yojisan Sushi), John Sedlar (Rivera), Alex Lestr (Patina Catering) and Carlos Enriquez (Patina Pastry). The chef creations for the evening were paired with wines from Jordan Winery. Featured winemaker John Jordan was also onsite for the event.
