Restaurants turn it up for an exciting season of eating.
St Urbain Street Bagels x Alfred Coffee

Greece is the Word
New York restauranteurs are continuing to head to the Wild West, and seasoned vets like Nick Tsoulos, Nick Pashalis and Marc Packer are up next with Mediterranean restaurant AVRA Beverly Hills. The interiors are as opulent as their bicoastal counterpart with a Dolomiti marble bar and a sizable trellised outdoor dining area where you can enjoy charcoal-grilled octopus, mussels steamed in ouzo, or zucchini and eggplant chips served with tzatziki.

Bagels Brought Back
Much-loved St Urbain Street Bagels is being resurrected by Alfred Coffee founder and CEO Josh Zad. Each morning the bagels are served alongside Wexler’s house-cured lox until they sell out, which presumably is quickly, considering the stir that the 2016 closure of the two-decade-old bagel company caused the community.

Glam Grill-Outs
If throwing together a backyard bash is too much stress after a hectic work week, have no fear: The Peninsula Beverly Hills is bringing back its summer barbecue menu each Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5-9PM on the Roof Garden Terrace. Instead of down-home burgers and franks, chef David Codney is whipping up coffee and chipotle smoked-beef ribs, Madagascar shrimp with tomato and avocado, plus plenty of other market-fresh fixings. Save room for the s’mores.
