Blue Bottle founder James Freeman’s new passion project—Blue Bottle Studio—is the ultimate experience for coffee connoisseurs to enjoy the finest subtleties of barista-endorsed brews right in the heart of West Hollywood. In an eight-course tasting menu, Blue Bottle Coffee producers take eight guests per session on a 60-90 minute tasting tour, introducing new flavor pairings and specialty pastries along the way. From tools to techniques, no two cups of coffee are the same.
If six different coffee preparations and two decadent desserts aren’t drivers alone, the warm wood and neutral-toned ambiance just might be. Paired with smooth sounds on the record player, Blue Bottle Studio takes guests to a faraway coffee wonderland that feels miles removed from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles.

Borrowing inspiration from Tokyo, the studio’s brewing methods combine time and attention for a perfect cup of coffee—enhancing unique notes and cutting bitterness, while the desserts are sweet and unexpected bite-size indulgences brought to life by mastermind pastry chef Kiyoshi Tsukamato. Every course is an extraordinary treat.

From Santa Barbara to Yemen and more, the unique coffee blends at Blue Bottle Studio are wonderfully flavorful and far from what your average coffee shop has to offer. Exploring notes of sweet guava, subtle vanilla and honey and citrusy hints of tangerine, the coffee is prepared while preserving the integrity of the plant’s complex flavors for an incredible cup every time.
