BODS is an immersive 3D styling and try-on experience that empowers individuals to find their perfect fit while enhancing the customer experience and reducing returns.
At BODS, we are revolutionizing e-commerce experiences using cutting-edge gaming technology that allows online shoppers to virtually style outfits and digitally try on real-world apparel and accessories. Customers can easily create a customizable, 3D version of their body to style with precise renderings of a garment’s fabrication, colorway, design detail and, most importantly, fit.
BODS allows consumers to input measurements or quickly take two photos, which will create their 3D digital representation using AI. From there, they can personalize their BOD with their exact skin tone and refine their body shape. Users can digitally try on clothing with the highest level of photorealistic detail and closeness to actual, physical fit that was not previously possible and rotate their BOD to see how the garment fits from every angle. BODS can quickly show where a pant hem will hit at the ankle, how a handbag will look against someone’s frame, where a jacket may be too snug (a heat map feature allows for additional fit analysis) or how a fabric will lay across certain areas of the body.
You are able to zoom in to see the details in the fabric, the hardware on a purse and the texture in the leather. All of the key visual details you look for when trying on clothing in real life, you are able to do in BODS. When you select a garment to try on, a “suggested size” is recommended, but you also have the ability to try on other sizes and see how they fit with our fitmap. It will indicate what parts of the garment may be too loose or too snug on your body.
When consumers use BODS, they are not only able to shop more confidently, but their behavior can actually change how brands and retailers develop their apparel, merchandise their products, and help them gain a deeper understanding of their customer’s needs, creating a symbiotic, and equitable relationship between the two.
BODS also offers styling options so the user is able to see how their garment looks with handbags, shoes and other accessories and purchase the entire look, which is not currently offered by competitors.
We did our beta with Khaite and launched with the iconic fashion house Balmain at the end of 2023. There are multiple brands with whom we are very excited about partnering in 2024. I am not able to announce it yet, unfortunately, but stay tuned!
