Jason Bateman introduced a bevy of musically gifted stars at A Night at Sardi’s, a gala benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association, held at The Beverly Hilton. Producer Brian Grazer and British actress Jill Gascoine, who is battling Alzheimer’s, were honored for their commitment toward the cause.

Ron Howard presented the Abe Burrows Entertainment Award to Grazer, his friend of 35 years, prompting Grazer to give a moving speech about his late mother, who passed away from the disease for which $1.1 million was raised this evening. “She spotted something in me that helped give me confidence to get all the way through school and life, and that was curiosity,” said Grazer. That inquisitiveness led the spiky-haired producer to ask questions like, “What if I had a mermaid?” And then came Splash. The cast of The Big Bang Theory showed that they too had vibrant imaginations (and great legs) as they performed a rollicking rendition of “Time Warp” from The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
