Los Angeles considers nearly 3.5 million immigrants as Angelenos, which puts Buchanan’s Scotch Whisky’s new collaboration with Kids of Immigrants in touch with the heart of the city.
On Jan. 18, the Scottish spirit company and Los Angeles-based brand will release the What Glory We Are capsule collection. It celebrates the unique 200 % experience of people who are 100% immigrant and 100% American.
“It’s in the duality that exists in between two different cultures, traditions, and languages coming together to make us 200%,” said Kids of Immigrants co-founder Daniel Buezo. "Where the heart meets home. It’s an appreciation of our roots and a celebration of our uniqueness. We are all cut from different fabrics but together we make a whole. We would not be here without our community.”
What Glory We Are is the first Kids of Immigrants drop of the year. It also brings Buchanan’s newest campaign into 2022, which first launched last fall and featured 2020 Puerto Rican Olympic gold medalist Jasmine Camacho-Quinn.

“For years, Buchanan’s has been welcomed into the culture, on the tables and at the celebrations of Hispanic Americans, so as a brand it’s important for us to help champion and support this community that has been an integral part of our history and growth here in the U.S.,” Buchanan’s Whisky Director Joyce He said at the time of the campaign’s launch. “Through this new campaign, we’re proud to shine a light on this diverse community who truly embody what it means to live life at 200%.”
The limited edition collection includes a beanie, hoodie and sweatpants in a rich green colorway that feature signature Kids of Immigrants designs and phrases like, “We are all cut from different fabrics, but together we make a whole 200%.”
What’s more, 100 percent of What Glory We Are collection proceeds will go to support No Us Without You LA. The Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization provides support to over 1,600 food-insecure hospitality workers, day laborers, street vendors and mariachi families. For $33, No Us Without You is able to supply families of four with a week’s worth of fresh produce, dairy, and pantry staples.
What Glory We Are retails for $35- $100. Directly support No Us Without You LA here.
