Following the opening of a Silver Lake storefront earlier this year, Byredo has debuted a new store in the Pacific Palisades.
Marking the brand’s third stand-alone store in Los Angeles, the Palisades Village location is now open.
“I really like how each area in L.A. has its own distinctive environment and character, and I’m interested to showcase different facets of the Byredo universe as we enter into dialogue with various parts of the city,” said Ben Gorham, creative director and founder, of Byredo.
Gorham founded Byredo in Stockholm in 2006. Born to an Indian mother and a Canadian father, he had an international upbringing and grew up in Toronto, New York and Stockholm, where he ended up attending art school. Upon graduation, a fateful meeting with a perfumer inspired him to express his creativity through fragrances instead of painting.
With creativity and instinct guiding Byredo, the brand aims to translate and elicit memories and emotions through and into their products. What began with a fragrance has grown into a worldwide beauty and lifestyle business.
Coalescing California’s warm modernism with Byredo’s signature minimalist aesthetic, the new store appropriately settles in among the open-air shopping and lifestyle district.
The beauty brand also has a location along Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood.

Encased by a white brick exterior, Byredo Pacific Palisades’ inviting glass front welcomes shoppers and sunshine alike. The interior features aluminum-framed vitrines with maple bases, which are stacked on a metal sheet table flanked by polished cabinets and frosted-colored counter units. Honing in on the interplay between materials, the space imbues the brand’s contemporary luxury vision.
What’s more, the metal wall finds balance in the custom Italian terrazzo flooring overlaid with a hand-knotted carpet stylized with Byredo’s new interaction of its alphabet pattern.
Perhaps what will catch your eye the most is the special reference to Gorham’s love of nature. Adding a nice embellishment, the store also has a cowhide couch and potted tree.
Open Monday through Sunday beginning at 11 a.m., the new store carries the full range of Byredo perfume, home fragrances, makeup and body care products. It closes at 7 p.m. every day except Sunday, on which day it closes at 6 p.m.
Byredo Pacific Palisades is located at 15225 Palisades Village Lane 90272.
