Architectural Digest recently toured supermodel and actress Cara Delevingne’s “adult playhouse.” She inherited the tropical-themed Los Angeles home from her mother who used to tell her and her sisters that “if you’re bored, then you are boring”—and there’s nothing boring about this one-of-a-kind abode.
Designed by architect Nicolò Bini of Line Architecture, Delevingne wanted the house to reflect her experience playing a plethora of roles.
Every room and inch of space is filled with colors and items that imbue the home with an extraordinarily special and unique atmosphere. According to AD, there are several main themes present in the house: nature, fun-and-games, and English-country white brick.

Gucci wallpaper adorned with herons covers the walls, while snake carpet lines the billiards room, and leopard-print carpet "climbs" the stairs. The natural theme continues with a sculpture by Mexican-artist Sergio Bustamante of a flock of birds. Delevingne also decided to include an abundance of plants to stick to the jungle-like vibe.
The poker room is entirely red and mirrors a lavish casino in Las Vegas, complete with red curtains, a red poker table and red chairs to complement the interior. A vintage wheel of fortune from the Santa Monica pier adds the final touch to the game room. Oh—and there's also a ball pit.
“When my friends come over, the house turns into an obstacle course,” Delevingne says. “It’s like an indoor/outdoor playground by way of Alice in Wonderland ... If I’m having a bad day, I just hop in the ball pit. You can’t really cry in a ball pit.”
Other parts of the home reflect different moods and ideas, all of which Delevingne helped plan with her interior designer. There’s one room the model call’s “the vagina tunnel;” a passageway for guests to crawl from the living room to another room.
The attic is also very special, currently being used as a “party bunker.” An exotic space, the attic includes a stripper pole, wrist restraints and a chair designed after the Courrèges logo.
Despite the house’s inimitable quirks, for Delevingne, it feels like home. Each of these strange items and absurd decorations are ones she cherishes, holding years of fond memories within their curious folds.
“This place is her ultimate expression of home,” her architect says, “a Cara-style fantasy filled with references to the many things that turn her on.”
