On June 6, Catch Steak opened its doors to bring a classic-meets-contemporary steakhouse to Melrose Place.
“The support has been tremendous in L.A. and now Californians will enjoy this new steakhouse experience and menu,” said Tilman Fertitta, Catch Hospitality Group partner. “The indoor-outdoor dining element is unlike any other and we look forward to having locals and tourists experience this new concept.”
Just down the street from its sister restaurant Catch LA, Catch Steak sits among welcome neighbors like Restoration Hardware, Bottega Veneta and Oscar de la Renta along the famed shopping district.
With a roomy outdoor patio with a retractable rooftop, an extensive wine room, a dining room, garden room and private dining options, Catch Steak utilizes rich wood finishes and garden-like elegance to create an inviting yet sophisticated ambience.
“We are truly excited to be able to bring our steakhouse experience to Melrose Place,” said Mark Birnbaum, one of three Catch Hospitality Group partners. “With the success of Catch around the corner, we've been fortunate enough to become part of the fabric of this neighborhood and we look forward to being able to bring something new to our guests in this market.”
The new steakhouse offers a number of steak selections including classic cuts, Japanese wagyu, American wagyu, dry-aged and large-format steaks up to 40 ounces. And if you’re not a steak person, don’t worry— there’s something for everyone. Created by executive chef Erik Piedrahita, Catch Steak's menu also includes a variety of sushi, seafood and family-style sides, such as their homemade waffle fries with truffle aioli and vegan options upon request.
With a classy bar set up, Catch Steak does not disappoint in the drink department. Wines from all around the world are available by the glass or bottle. The “Kindred Spirits” portion of the menu offers creative cocktails with spicy names such as the Side Piece, a mix of bourbon, cinnamon and citrus fruits, and Mile-High Club, a mix of Hennessy VS Cognac, raspberry and lime.
