THE PARTY American Humane Association’s (AHA) Hero Dog Awards honoring guide dog Roselle, who led her blind master down 78 flights of stairs at the World Trade Center during the 9/11 attacks THE PLAYERS AHA President Dr. Robin R. Ganzert, Michael Vartan, Carson Kressley, Julianne Hough, Betty White, Peter Fonda, Mickey Rooney, Michelle Forbes, Kristin Bauer, Pauley Perrette, Megyn Price THE HIGHLIGHTS Eight finalist canines that transformed people’s lives each received $5,000, to be donated to one of the AHA’s charity partners. But the biggest treat of the evening came when philanthropist Lois Pope announced her surprise $1 million donation to AHA in support of its efforts to end abuse and neglect of children and animals.
