Celebrate National Waterpark Day in a $3,800 A Night Pineapple Villa at Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana

With swim-up suites, villas with plunge pools, private butlers and amenities that rival five-star hotels, the luxury waterpark is fast becoming a thing.

So for National Waterpark Day (yes, The Registrar at National Day Calendar declared it July 28), we are giving a nod to Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana by Karisma in the Dominican Republic. This is also in honor of the most famous sea sponge in the world’s twentieth birthday. If you haven’t heard, it’s hip to be SquarePants! Even designer Marlou Breuls kicked off the celebration in spring with an avant-garde interpretation of SpongeBob during the Amsterdam Fashion Week. So why shouldn't a kid-inspired vacation be a similar mix of high-end savoir faire with silly inspiration?

Kick off from work for a few days and unplug your kids from their video games to fully enjoy the end of summer in a pineapple under the sea. On the golden sands of Uvero Alto beach, the Nickelodeon resort combines a kid-friendly (and recently certified as autism-friendly) wonderland with a special-focus on adult pampering too.

While your kids play at the Aqua Nick waterpark, entertained with water slides, a lazy river and daily slimes, you can spend time #adulting. The part-clubhouse, part-artist studio (dubbed Just Kidding) has supervised activities for kids 4 to 12 years old offered daily. For you? Relax on the beach, poolside, inside Vassa Spa’s couples suite or an al fresco outdoor treatment area.

From child-loving character breakfasts to glow-in-the-dark menu favorites at Spacewalker, there are 12 dining options in the resort’s Gourmet Inclusive Experience. Ditch the tots and make reservations at the adult-only Sugarcane or Kitchen 23 by Le Chique and try Executive Chef Jonatan Gomez Luna Torres’ specialty dish spicy oxtail with sweet potatoes.

The only way to see this Nickelodeon spectacular is in a spacious two-bedroom, two-floor Pineapple Villa (starting at $3,800 per night for up to six) inspired by SpongeBob's abode that comes complete with an infinity pool, garden and patio, indoor and outdoor shower, and Jacuzzi tub, plus a personal butler to make your stay complete. The resort also has Swank Wrap-Around Swim Up Suites or Swank Plunge Pool Suites if the pineapple is otherwise occupied.
