Now entering its third year, LATM will feature artist and author talks, workshops, exhibits, and special events from artists and institutions throughout So Cal and beyond. Textile Month seeks to engage the Southern California community in a conversation about textiles’ value, purpose, and meaning. The So Cal region is ideally situated, geographically and in temperament, to engage in cross-disciplinary, cross-cultural, critical conversations about our textile systems – systems defined as the art institutes that confer value, the academic environments that teach art and craft, and the commercial landscapes that broker textile production in all its forms. Visit the exhibition at the Helms Design Center and sign up for one of the in-person events. See you in September!
