Center of Attention

THE PARTY Hollywood’s leading lads and ladies descended upon Beverly Hills for an evening rife with fanfare, christening the city’s new Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. Co-chairs Wallis Annenberg and Jamie Tisch welcomed a legion of A-listers to the venue, much of which occupies the iconic 1933 Beverly Hills post office building. THE SCENE Attendees who braved the action-packed red carpet found a reprieve in the form of drinks, dinner and A Dream in an Envelope, a one-night-only play starring Kevin Spacey and Diane Lane. Before the main course, guests kept busy by exploring the grounds, strolling through the sunken Jamie Tisch Sculpture Garden and enjoying private tours of the Studio Theater, all while indulging in hors d’oeuvres by Wolfgang Puck, naturally. THE HIGHLIGHTS A shared love for the performing arts undoubtedly infused the evening, but another commonality characterized the Annenberg’s unveiling. Demi Moore, Gwen Stefani, Josh Duhamel, Freida Pinto, Alessandra Ambrosio and Tim Robbins, among others, donned Ferragamo, a nod to the sponsoring label’s exclusive pop-up shop located therein.
