Chainfest made its grand debut last year in Los Angeles with a sold-out event that welcomed 5,000 foodies for a grand feast of fast-food favorites and innovations, attracting the likes of Chrissy Teigen, John Legend, Blake Griffin, Mark Hoppus, Kiernan Shipka and more.
This year, the gourmet chain food festival is back and better than ever. Read on for everything you need to know about attending.
Chainfest will take place on Oct. 5 at Skylight ROW DTLA. Helmed by B.J. Novak and Michelin-starred chef Tim Hollingsworth, the food festival showcases gourmet versions of dishes from America’s most beloved chains. Additionally, Chrissy Teigen is serving as a strategic advisor and investor. The first tier of general admission and VIP experiences sold out, but a very limited number of tickets are still available.
VIP early entry begins at noon and general admission starts at 12:30 p.m. The event will wrap at 4 p.m.
The hobo bag may be back, but you’ll need to leave it at home for this one. Large backpacks and purses are not allowed in, but you can carry a bag sized up to 12” x 12.”
On-site parking is available and costs $20, with cash being the preferred method of payment.
From the return of Koo Koo Roo to new items and exclusive collaborations, Chainfest pulled all the stops for the 2024 festival. Dishes you can look forward to include a heated five-layered burger by Red Robin, which will also be serving a French fry martini; a Panda Express x Hot Ones Blazing Bourbon Chicken collaboration featuring the signature Hot Ones Last Dab Apollo hot sauce; a Cracker Barrel country fried steak with a special Dijon cheddar gravy sauce and buttermilk biscuit; smoked salmon and caviar pizza by Domino’s; the first taste of a new KFC menu item; a seasonal donut by Krispy Kreme; The 1921 Slider from White Castle served with a top-secret Chainfest sauce; Koo Koo Roo staples and a Cheddar Bay Biscuits-inspired butter-poached lobster biscuit by Red Lobster (VIP).
You’ll be able to slurp it all down with beverage options like Johnny Rockets Milkshakes, Dutch Bros coffee beverages, Trader Vic’s Mai Tais and other specialty cocktails made with Absolut Vodka, Jameson Irish Whiskey, Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey, Del Maguey Single Village Mezcal, Malibu Rum, Altos Tequila and Kahlua Coffee Liqueur.
Food may be front and center, but Chainfest has plenty more to do than just eat. There will be games, rides and other immersive Chain experiences, which you have access to with your ticket. Highlights include the first-ever pop-up Chuck E. Cheese arcade and a spicy mainstage challenge with Pepto Bismol.
Skylight ROW DTLA is located at 777 S Alameda St 90021.
