The group fitness craze gets another boost with three heart-pumping new options.
Mayweather Boxing + Fitness invites you to train like a champ in classes inspired by Floyd Mayweather's regimen

Who needs a workout buddy when you can walk into one of these studios and get moving in no time? French-American bodybuilder and inventor Sebastien Lagree, whose Megaformer machine is beloved by everyone from Meghan Markle to Michelle Obama, opened a second outpost of Lagree Fitness Studio in Westwood Village in September. Lagree’s newest patented creation, the Supra—available exclusively at the L.A. studio locations—inclines and tilts, allowing for a high-intensity, low-impact workout in just 25 minutes. “That is more than enough time to stimulate your anabolic and metabolic system—building muscle and burning fat—while still being gentle on your spine and joints,” he says. Boxing champion Floyd Mayweather recently opened Mayweather Boxing + Fitness to allow individuals at all levels to train like him. “Our members get the benefits of the training programs that I developed, both through our heavy bag workouts and our cardio and functional training routines,” Mayweather says. His Mid-City gym also features virtual reality sessions, heartrate monitors, assault bikes and more. In October, personal trainer Alfonso Moretti introduced MERGE in Beverly Hills, an intimate, 10-person workout that is safe for all ages and skill levels. “All of our equipment is hands on,” explains Moretti, “meaning your upper and lower body always work together, allowing for a higher calorie burn and increased strength.” The classes combine First Degree Fitness water rowers, Schwinn Airdyne Pro bikes and CrossCore suspension trainers, which improve posture, protect joints and strengthen muscles.
