The Party An intimate discussion between MOCA Director Deitch and world-famous artist Koons, the first in an annual three-part series of MOCA and Louis Vuitton’s Art Talks, hosted at the Frank Gehry-designed home of Eli and Edythe Broad The Players
Bill Bell, Maria Arena Bell, Michael Chow, Sela Ward, Jessica Biel, Justin Timberlake The Highlights Art lovers, collectors and friends of the museum and fashion house gathered at the residence of the city’s most renowned philanthropists for the fundraising affair. The Broads’ home served as the backdrop for an intimate, alfresco salon-style exchange between close friends Deitch and Koons. Topics ranged from Koons’ childhood to the genesis of his masterpieces, and ended with the news of an upcoming retrospective of Koons’ work, debuting at MOCA in January 2014. The afternoon brought one more exciting announcement: the inauguration of MOCA and Louis Vuitton’s Young Arts Program, which invites 30 high school students to experience and create contemporary art under the mentorship of local artists Edgar Arceneaux and Retna.
