Renowned comedians and Bravo Network’s Top Chef Masters used their comedic and culinary skills to help the Scleroderma Research Foundation (SRF) fund medical research aimed at discovering improved therapies and a cure for people living with scleroderma. Scleroderma literally means “hard skin,” but the disease is much more than that, often affecting the internal organs with life-threatening consequences. SRF Board Member Bob Saget, who lost his sister to the disease, hosted the Cool Comedy – Hot Cuisine event along with special comedic appearances by Bill Bellamy, Craig Ferguson, Jeff Garlin, Jimmy Kimmel, Jeff Ross and others. The Hot Cuisine was provided by Top Chef Masters and Food Network’s Too Hot Tamales, Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken. Cool Comedy- Hot Cuisine provided the perfect dose of laughter for a night that included a cocktail reception, fine dining with high-end wines, as well as silent and live auctions. The live auction included first-class airfare provided by Delta Airlines, VIP access to the 2013 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, a Las Vegas escape with penthouse accommodations at the Venetian and access to the Cirque du Soleil’s invitation-only premiere and after-party for the highly anticipated show Michael Jackson ONE at Mandalay Bay. Guests got the chance to meet celebrities and major influencers in the community who all support this cause.
