How many times has L.A. traffic dissuaded you from having a nice dinner out?
Renowned chef and restaurateur Curtis Stone of Michelin-starred restaurants Maude and Gwen is making sure you don’t have to deal with this conundrum again— at least for one special night.
In partnership with Gathar, a cultivator of curated culinary experiences, Stone has debuted a new private dining experience called Restaurant at Home (RAH).
Offering a unique in-home dining experience, RAH allows Stone and his team of acclaimed chefs to bring a fully catered three-course dinner party with dedicated service to your home in Los Angeles for groups of six or more for $98 per person. All you have to do is be within 25 miles of Gwen, which is located at 6600 Sunset Boulevard.

Kicking off on December 9 and 16, the RAH menu begins with a charcuterie platter featuring selections from the Gwen butchery, followed by mains like slow-roasted heritage chicken or a vegan loaf paired with sides like Josper roasted carrots and braised collard greens. For dessert, guests can indulge in sweet treats like a caramel pastry cream or pumpkin coconut panna cotta developed by Gwen executive pastry chef Tamber Weiersheuser
When the series returns in February 2024, at-home diners will get to experience a whole new menu.
In addition to the culinary experience, a RAH dedicated chef and server will cook, serve and handle clean-up, allowing guests to fully enjoy the evening. As an added bonus, the first 20 guests across the two December RAH events will receive a complimentary bottle of eco-conscious wine through a partnership with The Hidden Sea.
“What I love about Restaurant at Home is that it allows those who might not normally get to have that very special private chef experience in their home be able to do so for the same cost as dining out,” said Stone about his vision behind RAH. “And while the experience is more accessible, the quality is still outstanding with some of the best chefs in the city sourcing fresh, local ingredients for an unforgettable dining experience.”
The innovative dining concept is offered exclusively through Gathar, a private chef and catering platform Curtis launched with Australian colleagues in 2018 that expanded to Los Angeles in 2022. RAH will debut in L.A. before expanding to other US cities.
“I like to think of Restaurant at Home as Uber for private chefs,” said Jodie Mlikota, CEO and co-founder of Gathar and RAH. “At roughly the same price as going out to a restaurant, you can have this incredible private chef experience practically on call, in the intimacy of your own home – children and pets included if you like!”
