This is no joke: you can still get a reservation at Maude for just $10.
On the morning of April Fool’s Day, Curtis Stone’s Beverly Hills restaurant announced a special opportunity that sounded truly unbelievable.
But the announcement was not made in jest. Commemorating its ten-year anniversary, Maude opened reservations for 10 guests to take part in its Michelin-starred experience during April for just $10.
As one would expect, the highly coveted seats sold out at lightning speed. But that doesn’t mean you’re out of luck here. Stone and his Maude team have decided to treat Angelenos to the $10 spots for the rest of the year.
On the first day of the month at 10 a.m., reservations will become available through OpenTable under the experiences section. Be sure to have an alarm ready! For the $10 menu, just five tables for two guests will be available each month. The next round goes live on May 1.
Normally, a Maude experience runs for $215 per person with the option for a $155 (classic) or $255 (reserve) wine pairing. The nine-course menu highlights locally grown, in-season bounty that proves the power of Southern California cuisine.
Maude first opened its doors in Beverly Hills in February 2014. Named after his paternal grandmother and culinary muse, Stone fosters an intimate, thoughtful dining experience in his 24-seat restaurant.
The menu is constantly evolving according to the season, but recent dish highlights include spiny lobster with salted Persian cucumber, Buddha’s hand and salsa verde; abalone with seaweed, oyster mayonnaise and California Koshuhukari rice and Wolf Ranch quail with spring onion, achiote sauce and soubise.
