Demi Lovato Teams Up with Kate Hudson on a Sporty-Chic New Line

| May 18, 2017 | Parties

On a sunny Wednesday in L.A., the sun shined on athletic wear company Fabletics as it launched Demi Lovato for Fabletics, the brand's first-ever collaborative collection. Founder Kate Hudson hosted the event at The Beverly Hills Hotel’s Crystal Garden, which drew in famous friends and family such as Molly Sims, Amanda Peet, and Erin Foster. Inspired by Lovato’s empowering music, the collection displayed musical notes and motivational phrases and words such as “confident” and “I don't give a…” Guests enjoyed cold pressed juices, strawberry arugula salad and a self-serve fruit bar while taking in music by DJ Samantha Ronson and a beautiful performance by the Musyca Childrens Choir. During a heartfelt speech, Hudson spoke about the United Nations Foundation’s Girl Up Campaign—specifically their SchoolCycle initiative, which provides bikes for girls’ safe transport to school—of which a portion of the collection’s sales are donated to. This girl power themed garden was filled with encouraging signs with sayings such as “Know Your Own Worth," as well as models showing off the line. Guests shared the fun with their girlfriends by taking videos and 3D photos in the boxing arena photo booth. Friends and family also had the chance to play ping pong and participate in life-size chess and Jenga games. The event ended with every guest leaving with a gift bag filled with a pair of boxing gloves printed with the phrase “Girl Up”. —Marina Gialanella
