De Gournay’s vibrant, artisan-made wallcoverings are now on view at the brand’s latest L.A. location, a stunningly redecorated pied-a-terre in the Hollywood Hills. “The L.A. residence is a fully appointed household that immerses visitors within a full spectrum of handpainted and hand-embroidered designs,” notes de Gournay director Hannah Cecil Gurney. Walk through 11 rooms, from the living room (with Nordic Garden wallpaper reminiscent of Scandinavian design) to the dining room, study, bedroom (featuring a Malmaison panoramic scene) and more, each dressed with an iconic de Gournay wallcovering paired with chic brand accessories—a “living portfolio” of sorts. degournay.com
Explore chic cabinetry at Plain English’s second standalone U.S. storefront on La Cienega. MICHAEL CLIFFORD
Over 30 years ago and across the pond in Suffolk, Katie Fontana and Tony Niblock indirectly founded Plain English when they decided to design, build and install their own painted kitchen during a renovation. Since then, the duo has expanded to hot spots like London, NYC and the L.A.-based Nickey Kehoe showroom. Now, the cabinetry brand has its very own space in West Hollywood, its second stand-alone location in the US. Inspired by classic British interiors, the space features free-standing furnishings on display, bold paint colors from the latest Colour Collection 5 (also seen on the showroom’s walls) and a West Coast designer on hand for advice and inspiration. plainenglishdesign.com

Nathan Turner’s first fabric collection includes this stunning Cowboy Toile linen fabric in Army green; Anna Floral linen fabric in blue brown. PHOTO: COURTESY OF BRAND
L.A.-based interior designer, author and TV personality (he was on Bravo’s Million Dollar Decorators) Nathan Turner has recently unveiled his first-ever fabric collection, aptly named the California Collection. Says Turner, “I translated all of my wonderful memories of growing up in California into this collection.” Featuring 33 timeless motifs—think chintz, animal prints, stripes and plaids—these linen fabrics are perfect for eye-catching upholstery projects. The Dora Chintz is inspired by his grandmother’s bedroom in his family’s Sierra Nevada ranch, while the florals in the Hillhouse print speak to classic Spanish architecture and Mexican tiles. Available in muted neutrals and more colorful tones (soft blues, green, pink and gold), the fabrics evoke a relaxed but refined feel for any interior. nathanturner.com
