Dr. Ana Dugar pursued dermatology for both its power to improve skin health and also a patient’s self-confidence. “Unlike any other area of medicine, skin disease is so tightly connected to a patient’s identity—who we are and what we look like is intricately linked,” she says. “Helping patients look and feel their best is what attracted me to dermatology.” As one of the newest physicians at Grossman Dermatology, Dr. Dugar was drawn to the practice for its seamless integration of medical and aesthetic dermatology.
“This multi-faceted approach allows for more holistic care and more durable outcomes,” she says. “A good aesthetic result can become futile if the patient does not have a good understanding and practice of sun protection, skin cancer prevention and incorporation of medical grade skincare on an ongoing basis.”
As a new mother, Dr. Dugar’s special interest at Grossman Dermatology is helping other new moms feel their best post-partum, while addressing concerns, from facial rejuvenation to post-partum pigment disorder correction, hair loss and minimally invasive, non-surgical body rejuvenation. “I’ve developed a new and deep appreciation for the miraculous process the female body undergoes in creating life, but also the changes that come with the post-partum period,” she says.
For Dr. Dugar, her patients motivate her everyday to continue learning and growing in her craft. “I share Dr. Grossman’s passion on educating patients and creating evidence-based plans that are patient-centered,” she says. “I strive to create a collaborative, long-term relationship with our patients.”
