To visitors of Los Angeles, the geography and its categorization can be tricky. The (technical) Eastside, the Eastside (colloquially speaking) and East L.A. all mean different things. As we look beyond the 110 Freeway, we’re taking a dive into the Eastside, which here we’ll define as Los Feliz, Highland Park, Echo Park, Griffith Park and Eagle Rock. At the tail end of Summer 2022, Encanto took over the space that held the long-beloved Los Feliz restaurant, Mexico City, which closed in 2018.
