“I have often been lovingly dubbed ‘the gifting queen’ since I’m known to curate gifts and experiences for friends and family,” says Sade Awe, who worked in information technology and the luxury bridal space before founding Eazy Gyft (eazygyft.com) in 2018. Her “aha” moment came when she received a beautiful present from a friend—but it was a near-double of something she already had. “I realized this was a common occurrence and that well-meaning gift givers never seemed to have any idea what to gift the people they love,” says Awe, who wanted to use her taste for luxury to help take the stress and mystery out of gifting. Eazy Gyft offers both signature collections Awe has curated (with popular items like Jo Malone London bath products and Diptyque candles), as well as bespoke gifting services—in which she’ll research an individual and design an unforgettable personalized experience. Awe is frequently in L.A. working with her large base of SoCal clients, including Dave Chappelle, Pauletta Washington (wife to Denzel Washington), the Los Angeles Lakers and Rémy Martin—for which she recently created bespoke gift boxes for the brand’s Valentine’s Day Louis XIII cognac decanter unveiling. “Our goal is to make the gifting experience simple, by curating gifts that are beautiful, thoughtful, intentional, meaningful and that leave the recipient delightfully surprised and wowed!” she says.
