“I have always said that my three favorite things in life are family, fashion and philanthropy,” says retailer Elyse Walker, who is celebrating 25 years of her eponymous brand. “Throughout these 25 years, I have committed personally and professionally to giving back to the communities where we do business. I’m incredibly proud to have raised over $15 million for cancer research through Cedars Sinai Women’s Cancer Research Institute and the St. Helena Hospital Foundation.” Walker, who started with one store in the Palisades and now runs eight boutiques throughout California and New York, created a plush button-down cashmere sweater to mark the impressive milestone. “It was important that there was a charitable component, so 10% of the sweater sales will be donated to charitable organizations that support women’s health,” she shares.
