Eminem is known for a lot of things, like selling over 130 million albums or winning 15 rammy Awards, but spaghetti isn’t always the first thing that comes to mind when we think about this rap god.
However, he's actually the founder of pasta-sandwiches joint Mom’s Spaghetti. The Detroit eatery serves dishes centered around lyrics from his song "Lose Yourself" and offers limited-edition merchandise.
To celebrate being part of the Super Bowl Halftime Show, Eminem decided to bring Mom’s Spaghetti with him. The pop-up restaurant will be located in downtown L.A. and will be collaborating with Pasta Sisters and Uncle Paulie’s Deli. It will be available for delivery on Postmates or in-person at the restaurant, 820 S. Spring Street, from Feb. 9 through Feb. 13. Everything will be available starting at noon until 9 p.m.
Their simple but delicious menu will include spaghetti topped with parmesan cheese with a slice of crispy garlic bread; spaghetti with beef or vegan meatball with garlic bread and S’ghetti Sandwich. The grilled texas toast and mozzarella dish is the exact meal Eminem loved when he was younger and is quite tasty.
“It’s not the kind of pasta you’d expect if your grandma came from Italy on a boat," co-founder Curt Catallo explained about their menu. "It’s more like the spaghetti you’d know if your mom came from Michigan on a bus.”
Even if you aren’t in Los Angeles, don’t worry. You won’t miss out! Thankfully, Postmates will be hosting a sweepstake starting on Feb. 9. If you win, you’ll receive 1 of 10 limited edition Mom’s Spaghetti sauces signed by Eminem. Ten winners will get to try this delicious, made-from-scratch spaghetti sauce from their own home!
Whether you order through Postmates or go to the pop-up, you’re guaranteed a satisfying comfort meal that will remind you of Eminem’s popular song "Lose Yourself" or even your own childhood.
