“Clothing, photography, paintings and music have always been exciting to me,” says social media sensation and Louis Vuitton brand ambassador Emma Chamberlain. “Even when I was very young, I definitely had a strong appreciation for these things but was too afraid to show it.”

“Now that I’m older, I’m much more carefree and I do whatever I want however I want. When I was invited to my first Louis Vuitton show in Paris in 2019, I didn’t know much about the world of high fashion. I remember feeling like a deer in the headlights at my first show, but feeling incredibly humbled and inspired afterward. It completely changed my perspective. Over the years, I have been lucky enough to spend more time with Nicolas [Ghesquière] and the team at Louis Vuitton, and every day my understanding [of] and appreciation for fashion houses and designers grow.”

Deemed “the funniest person on YouTube,” Chamberlain is equally candid even amid the fashion flock—and we love her for it. (Her slipper moment at the Met Gala incited envy from supermodels and starlets alike.) “To be honest, I don’t always love a heel, although I really embraced them at the Met this year (for about 40 minutes, and then I changed into slippers),” she says.
