Celebrity spirit brands are a dime a dozen, but how many of your Hollywood favs actually get behind the bar? Perhaps not too many, but you sure can count on Eva Longoria as one of them.
On Aug. 11, the Desperate Housewives star will guest bartend at The Bungalow Santa Monica’s Night Market. Guests will get to enjoy her cocktails made of her luxury sipping tequila Casa Del Sol.
Translating to “house of the sun,” Casa Del Sol finds inspiration in the magic of golden hour and the Aztec goddess of agave, Mayahuel. The tequila is finished in cognac barrels handcrafted with French Limousin oak and comes in three varieties: blanco, reposado and añejo.
In addition to her spirit endeavors, Longoria recently executive produced HBO Max’s Gordita Chronicles . It was also announced this month that she will star in and executive produce the Apple TV Plus series Land of Women.
The evening will also have a plethora of food vendors. You can expect Tijuana-style tacos from Tacos 1986, Secret Vegan Pizza, Chickies Hot Chicken, plant-based favorite Monty’s Good Burger and artisan sweets from Gooey Center and Cookies by Linda.
The idyllic summer night will also feature an acoustic surf rock set by Donavan Frankenreiter, which will be followed by music from DJ Mel DeBarge. What’s more, celebrity Brian Bowen Smith will be snapping pictures of guests; kids can play in a Tiny Tots ball pit and families can meet with local rescue organization Wags & Walk about dog adoptions.
It all kicks off at 5 p.m. and runs until 11 p.m., at which point the Night Market remains open until 2 a.m. for guests 21 and over.
The Bungalow Santa Monica’s Night Market is no stranger to celebrity guest bartenders. Since its June 2 launch, Aaron Paul and Kevin Hart made behind-the-bar appearances too with Dos Hombres Mezcal and Hart House, respectively. New vendors, brand activations and DJs will continue to be announced each week until the Thursday event series ends on Sept. 2.
The Bungalow is located at 101 Wilshire Blvd 90401 and can be called at 310.899.8530.
