THE PARTY Universal Music Group Chairman and CEO Lucian Grainge hosted a closing reception at his private residence in Brentwood for The Founders Forum, a two-day global community event designed to create collaboration between entrepreneurs and business leaders in media and technology. THE PLAYERS David Foster, Dame Barbara Hay, Ari Emanuel, Jeffrey Katzenberg THE HIGHLIGHTS Grainge, the British business ambassador for the Forum, chatted with DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg as guests were treated to songs like “Heaven,” “My Kind of Love” and “Next to Me” by singing sensation Emeli Sandé, who had the top-selling debut album of 2012 in England. “I think California is the pulse of everything that goes on,” said Grainge of the Forum’s first Los Angeles event. “There are so many global companies here—from Google to YouTube, Apple to Facebook.
