THE PARTY Kelly Wearstler and MOCA Director Jeffrey Deitch joined forces to host a private dinner at her Trousdale estate, marking the opening of The Painting Factory: Abstraction After Warhol. THE PLAYERS Peter Morton, Harry Morton, Mandy and Cliff Einstein, Dr. Gabriel and Christine Chiu, China Chow, Owen Wilson, Mark Bradford, Alexandra von Furstenberg, Maria Arena Bell, Bret Witke, Shaun Regen THE SETTING Art collectors, friends and tastemakers joined for cocktails and dinner set amid the jaw-dropping surroundings of Wearstler’s sprawling mansion—reportedly listed on the market this spring for a cool $39 million. The interior decorator and fashion designer’s eclectic modern taste provided a fitting backdrop for the celebration, as guests congregated in the library, dining room and patio as Smoke & Mirrors DJ Myles Hendrik mixed beats. His biggest fans? Undoubtedly Wearstler’s two young sons, Oliver and Elliott, who were spied behind the booth sporting headphones. The apples don’t fall far from the creative tree.
