Filmmakers, directors, actors and movies buffs joined together for the 2016 LA Film Festival. The annual event took place from June 1-9 and showcased engaging independent films, emerging online content, television programming and more. The festival kicked off with the world premiere of Ricardo de Montreuil's Lowriders at ArcLight Cinemas' Cinerama Dome in Hollywood. Throughout the week, other impactful flicks like Labor of Love: The Birth of a Nation, Out of Iraq, and London Town were presented to live audiences. The fest concluded with an Awards Cocktail Reception hosted by Roya Rastegar and Jennifer Cochis, and top honors went to Remy Auberjonois who took home the U.S. Fiction Award for Blood Stripe.
