The spring season brings longer days and beautiful blooming flowers, but better yet, it presents fashion trends that only get brighter and more colorful as the days go on and people get prepared for the best season of all: festival season.
Fiorucci kicked off the festival season like no other with its SS22 Desert Oasis collection that took over Fred Segal’s pop-up space at its flagship Sunset Boulevard location.
Running until April 30, everyone will be snagging the renowned Italian fashion house’s spring collection as Coachella approaches and several festivals follow its lead.
Fiorucci’s new collection is heavily inspired by its emergence in the 1970s and brings together classic imagery with the latest fresh styles and prints that shine bright wherever you may be grooving.
“When I was looking through the Fiorucci archive researching for the SS22 collection I found a beautiful hand-painted sign which simply read: Love Earth and Nature,” Daniel Fletcher, the artistic director of Fiorucci, said. “The archive is full of artworks dedicated to the planet, reflecting Elio’s passion for protecting it.”
The SS22 Desert Oasis collection offers silk shirts embellished with palm trees and sunbeams sprawled across crochet knits to shine a light on The Instant City in 1970s Ibiza.
Subdued orange prints that represent the faint sun that wears out during the evening can be seen on silk mini slip dresses and organic cotton jerseys with matching cycling shorts.
A charming green palm midi dress with a one-shoulder feature, asymmetric hem and one side of the dress cut out with ruching is the perfect piece as we head into the warmer seasons.
Fiorucci even has you set with a wide range of accessories, including matching bucket hats and baseball caps in an assortment of prints to pull your outfit together. There are vibrant handbags of all shapes and sizes like cross body shapes, shoulder styles and a special drawstring canvas bag adorned with the radiating Fiorucci sundial.
Better yet, an exclusive t-shirt made especially for the pop-up is being sold only through Fred Segal.
“There’s a long history between Fiorucci and LA and I’m really glad to be able to celebrate that with the opening of our Fred Segal pop-up and for the original Angels brand to be back in the City Of Angels,” Fletcher said.
Visit Fiorucci’s website to check out the dazzling collection and head on over to 8500 Sunset Blvd to shop the coolest looks for this festival season.
