Florence Osteria & Piano Bar has opened in the former Nic’s on Beverly space.
Inspired by Tuscany’s capital, the restaurant brings a sophisticated warmth to the 1980s building.
The West Hollywood dining establishment expands Italian-born-and-raised restaurateur Francesco Zimone’s Los Angeles presence, joining Hollywood’s beloved L’antica Pizzeria da Michele.
“Opening Florence Osteria & Piano Bar is a dream come true for me,” says Zimone. “It’s a celebration of my deep love for Italian culture and cuisine, and a continuation of my journey to share treasured recipes passed down through generations. For me, this is more than just a restaurant—it’s a space where guests can feel the warmth of genuine hospitality, experience the true flavors of Italy and gather together in a place that feels like home. I’m excited to bring a piece of Tuscany to Los Angeles, and I look forward to welcoming the community to share in this experience with us."
Florence Osteria & Piano Bar ensures an intimate, inviting dining experience in a space splashed in earth tones, ambient lighting and handcrafted seating— all of which is soundtracked by a live pianist three to five nights a week. Diners can get cozy on the 60-seat outdoor patio below the 85-year-old olive tree or at the 10-seat marble-top bar.
Executive chef Giuseppe Gentile helms the Tucan menu, brimming with a variety of housemade pastas, wood-fired seafood, artisan cheeses and cured meats. Dish highlights include fettuccine al Tartufo served tableside in a parmesan wheel with mixed crushed peppers and black winter truffle; slow-cooked Duroc pork belly with garlic, herb, fennel and pistachio gremolata and Tortello with braised oxtail filling, onion fondue, caciocavallo cream and wild mushrooms.
Continuing its commitment to authenticity, the bar program leans on Italian spirits for its cocktail menu. Meanwhile, the wine list features an extensive lineup of international selections with an emphasis on Italy, France and Spain.
Florence Osteria is open seven days a week from 5 p.m. to midnight. Reservations are available on OpenTable and walk-in tables are welcome.
