On Dec. 1, it will debut the Golden Age of Hollywood-inspired Veil & Velvet. Dark wood paneling, lush velvet and leather seating will transform The Lounge into this exclusive winter-time speakeasy.
Prioritizing contemporary luxury flourishes, Veil & Velvet also offers the chance to experience the old-school piano bars and Hollywood’s private dining clubs that dominated the city’s social scene nearly a century ago.
Alongside an alluring ambiance, guests will flock to the speakeasy for its enticing menu of elevated American classics. Crispy chicken bites pair with parmesan, maple syrup and black truffle, while pretzel bread is dipped in Dijon-brown mustard and the wagyu burger is rich with caramelized onions and truffle aioli. Additionally, Dungeness crab rolls are finished with a yuzu aioli, and the dessert lineup showcases the prowess of new pastry chef Riccardo Meniccuci. Options include a banana split, apple pie tarte tatin and Napoletano with gold dust.
Perhaps the crown jewel of the culinary offerings is the caviar service. Featuring Petrossian roe with homemade milk bread toast and other standard accompaniments, guests request the delicacy via a “Press for Caviar” button inside an antique jewel box.
Classic and inventive cocktails will be available to pair. Ensuring a lively imbibing experience, a roving martini cart will be ready to whip up the cocktail in its standard form or more creative takes, like the gin martini with clarified tomato water and pickled tomato. Furthermore, the menu is sure to please all palates with its selection of fine wines, rare whiskey, Champagnes, cognacs and other cocktails like the Manhattan, Roby Roy and French 75.
Veil & Velvet will be open until March 3, 2025.
