THE PARTY Barneys New York’s Tomoko Ogura joined stylist Lawren Howell to host a whimsical gathering for Belgian designer C├ędric Charlier’s spring collection benefiting the Edible Schoolyard Project, an organization promoting gardens and lunch initiatives in schools, at the Beverly Hills department store. THE PLAYERS Kendall Conrad, Jessica Joffe, Kimberly Bini, Liberty Ross, Ever Carradine, Carol Meltzer, Tierney Gearon, David Morehouse, Jessica de Ruiter, Kristen Rey, Nathan Turner THE HIGHLIGHTS Howell, dressed in Charlier’s white pencil skirt slashed with zippers, said she was so smitten with the design that she suggested to Ogura that Barneys immediately add it to the reorder list. Over a lunch of Greek salad with farro paired with carrot sticks and sweet potato chips (all whipped up following Edible Schoolyard classroom recipes), the stylist said she’s long been a supporter of the organization that launched in a Berkeley school and has spread throughout the country. A number of guests, including Bini, wore Charlier’s vibrantly colored dresses that seemed to have been plucked right out of a spring garden. Photography by Donato Sardella/ WireImage
