Greeting’s folks and welcome to the first issue of Furniture for Thought. I’m Rey III Viquez, the CEO of The Third Degree, a hospitality furniture company serving hotel, restaurant, corporate, and residential clients. Every month, I will share our process of furniture design, manufacturing, and maintenance. Our column will feature the details of our design process and the power of furniture in our lives.
I will give you an intimate peak into our production atelier, where we proudly infuse our creations with joy while bringing them to life, and highlight some of challenges, we encounter in the production process. I will offer solutions to your furniture concerns, and advice for selecting the best finishes, designs, and products for your hotel, restaurant, office or residence.
The second part of the column will feature the impact furniture has on our lives, including a range of subjects such as technology, mindfulness, fitness, family, and self-improvement. I will proudly illustrate how we use the intersectionality between these subjects and furniture to create products that improve lives while showcasing specific stories of how the furniture we’ve created has enriched our clients’ lives.
