Garance Doré Partnership Party

| October 5, 2018 | Parties

Garance Doré celebrated her partnership with Le Méredien hotels with a music-filled poolside soiree.

THE PARTY When Garance Doré hosts a party, you know it will be a chic affair, and the fete celebrating the Atelier Doré founder’s partnership with Le Méredien hotels did not disappoint. Set in a sprawling midcentury-modern home high above West Hollywood and centered around a glorious pool and endless views of Los Angeles, the evening had an Old Hollywood vibe—not surprising, given the home’s history: It once belonged to Elvis Presley. THE SCENE The guest list included many of Doré’s close friends. Designers Clare Vivier and Heidi Merrick, stylist Jessica de Ruiter, Fred Segal President John Frierson and more relaxed on Moroccan poufs and rugs set up on the lawn while sipping rosé cocktails and nibbling hors d’oeuvres. Backgammon and bocce ball were also on hand. THE HIGHLIGHTS The evening really took off when the sun went down. As city lights came alive in the distance, French Bossa Nova band Nouvelle Vague and trumpet player Chris Norton—Doré’s partner—began their performance. The crowd slowly gathered, and, before long, the dancing began. A night to remember, indeed. -Laura Eckstein Jones
