The Hollywood Bowl wants to be sure Angelenos get a mid-week rock ‘n’ roll rejuvenation. To kick off November, the renowned amphitheater will welcome Guns N’ Roses for two very special shows. Read on for everything you need to know about attending.
Guns N’ Roses will play the Hollywood Bowl on Nov. 1 and 2. For both performances, doors open at 4 p.m. and the show starts at 6 p.m. Be sure to have mobile tickets downloaded and ready on your phone to enter the venue.
Guns N’ Roses have rotated by show who takes the opening slot on their current tour. For the Hollywood Bowl shows, Angelenos will be treated to Souther rockers The Black Crowes, who recently embarked on a 30-year anniversary tour for Shake Your Money Maker.
No clear bag needed here! Just be sure what you bring is not bigger than 15” x 15” x 22”. And while sealed outside food and beverage and reusable liquid containers are allowed, outside alcohol is not permitted on these nights.
We know driving around Los Angeles can feel like you’re on the highway to hell, so we suggest planning your arrival now to ensure a partially smooth commute. If you opt to take your car, you can purchase a parking pass for one of the stacked parking lots in advance. Alternatively, there is a shuttle, and you can park your car in a number of places around town and hop on a direct bus ride over. For fans of public transportation, another method is parking your car at Universal City, hopping on the Metro and taking it to Ovation Hollywood. Lastly, if you choose rideshare, drop-off and pick-up is at Lot B, for which the address is 2149 N Highland Ave.
The Hollywood Bowl makes it easy for a concert night feast. You can load up a picnic to bring in or you can enjoy the genius of its food and wine program, which is run by James Beard Award-winning chef Suzanne Goin and restauranteur Caroline Styne of a.o.c., Cara Cara and Caldo Verde. (Pro tip: order the fried chicken.) However, if you feel like trying out one of the buzzy nearby restaurants, set a reservation now for the likes of Katsuya or Saltie Girl. At recent previous shows, Guns N’ Roses have hit the stage sometime between 7:30 and 8 p.m. From there, the performance runs about 30 songs and presents a multi-decade run through their discography. Fans can rejoice knowing that they’ll hear hits like “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” “Welcome to thew Jungle,” “Paradise City” and plenty of guitar solos.
