Morris Day and The Time Perform Together at the Habitat LA Builders Ball

Habitat for Humanity Los Angeles hosted its annual Builders Ball on March 9 with an exciting performance from Morris Day and The Time.
The event took place at The Beverly Hilton to promote awareness and raise funds to help all families attain affordable housing. It brought the community together through homeownership and built strength and security for them.
The occasion honored the donors and partners of Habitat LA. It also recognized those who have put in work to help reshape Los Angeles’s landscape like the people who contribute to the building, real estate and other industries.
Morris Day gave a captivating performance that encouraged the audience to get up and groove. He and his band, one of the best party bands of all time, produced some irresistible music that brought the entire event to life.
Habitat LA is always sure to celebrate three exceptional partners each year who have gone above and beyond for the organization. These honorees have lended their time, expertise and resources to change communities in Los Angeles and beyond for the better.
The past year there were many partners that contributed to the success of Habitat LA, but Chandra Wilson from ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy was given the Dream Builder Award. Wilson is a spokesperson, donor and volunteer who presents a great love for her dedication to community, revitalization and investment.
Clark Construction was named Builder of the Year for its creative and innovative nature towards producing projects that give power to the communities including historic renovations, civic structures, healthcare and educational facilities and cultural landmarks.
City National Bank was honored with the Foundation Builder award for its help through advocacy, neighborhood investment, volunteerism and more. City National Bank showed leadership in fronting change and economic growth in the communities.
A long list of attendees came to support including annual supporter Tina Knowles, TV personality Jonathan Scott, entertainment host Sibley Scoles, actor Ethan Cutkosky and NBA legend Byron Scott.
Habitat LA has a heavy mission and dream that was achieved due to the wide support from many hands who played a fundamental role in transforming the communities for the greater good.
