No need to fret this fall season! Los Angeles is crawling with dozens of spooky celebrations to choose from for Halloween and Día de los Muertos. Grab your best costume and show out for this season of frights.
Hotel June’s poolside restaurant welcomes Angelenos for a celebratory happy hour to honor Día de Los Muertos with festive cocktails and Cali-Mex dishes in a relaxed setting. Reservations
The Sherman Oaks restaurant welcomes diners for two nights of Día de los Muertos festivities. Casa Vega will be outfitted with traditional ofrendas and will feature mariachi, sugar skull paintings and food specials, including black lime margaritas, chicken mole tamaales and Mexican coffee. Website
The Silver Lake establishment is teaming up with bike shop Golden Saddle Cyclery to elevate its weekly Industry Night into a Halloween party. Los Angeles’ biggest party throwers have you covered all weekend long. Booty Bellows has a kick-off party on Oct. 28, Ty Dolla $ign performance on Oct. 29 and Spooky Vibes part on Oct. 30. Meanwhile, Poppy will have its own kick-off party on Oct. 27, Friday Night Fever with Rich the Kid on Oct. 28, a Bacardi-hosted Spooktacular on Oct. 29 and a special performance by Bobby Shmurda on Oct. 31. At Harriet’s, the L.A.-favorite rooftop will host a Spooky Sunday Brunch on Oct. 30 and an all-day Halloween costume party on Oct. 31. Over in Santa Monica, Shorebar will have a kick-off party on Oct. 27, a Haunted Halloween Party on Oct. 28 and a live music and Spooky Vibes Party on Oct. 29. Hollywood Forever Cemetery is returning once again this year for its 23rd installment of their Day of the Dead celebration. Two events will be held Oct. 29 for “Dia De Los Muertos” from 9 a.m - 3 p.m and “Noche De Los Muertos” from 5 p.m - 12 a.m. The two-part event focuses on Mayahuel, the Aztec goddess of fertility and will include live cultural performances and an exhibition from artist of the year , Sabino Guisu’s “Zapotec Death Poems”, live DJ sets and delicious food and drinks.
